Posted January 03, 2018 12:38:23You’re more likely to feel better if you’re in a regular gym than if you are.
And, according to a new study, the more you’re sedentary, the worse you’re going to feel after a workout.
You can think of it this way: if you spend an hour a day sitting on the couch or reading, you’re doing more damage to your health than if someone sits you down and does squats for 20 minutes.
The results of a new meta-analysis of thousands of published studies published in the journal PLOS ONE found that people who spend their free time in a gym are not only at greater risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke and diabetes, but are also more likely than those who do not.
They’re also more prone to chronic conditions such as obesity, Type 2 diabetes and obesity-related cancers, the study found.
In short, if you do not have the time and energy to train, the benefits of a gym workout can be even more devastating.
